In order to facilitate administrative affairs and observe consular regulations, as well as saving your time, it is imperative to proceed with extending a one-year residency permit/ visa permission for (1 up to 3 months) during your study at MUBabol, annually.
1. You must proceed with extending your one-year residency permit one month in advance before expiring the current residency permission.
To extending visa permission for (1 up to 3 months) which is applicable for short time program, students should proceed it within two weeks after the registration.
2. Upon submitting your required documents (see below) to the Visa and Consular Affairs Office on MUBabol, you will receive a receipt which should be kept with you during the time that you do not have your passport with you. You can receive your passport after approximately one month, upon submitting your receipt and completed form.
3. Required documents are as follows:
Extending a one-year residence permit
1. Original passport
2. 2 copies of completed Application form for one- Year residence permit renewal (should be downloaded from here , typed and printed out)
Note 1: All fields should be filled out completely both in English and Persian.
Note 2: For occupation please write “student of level in major”
Note 3: Write your address completely with your mobile number
3. 2 Photos (3*4) (Passport- style photograph)
4. 3 Copy of your passport’s information page (first page in size of A4)
5. 2 Copy of Student’s passport’s ID page (the barcode on your last page of your passport in size of A4)
6. A copy of Accident Insurance Registration in size of A4 (registration should be done via www.hayateamn.ir)
7. Payment by bank card at The Office of Visa and Consular Affairs
8. Two copies of student’s passport’s information page in size of A4 (first page)
9. Two copies of student’s passport’s ID page in size of A4 (the barcode on your last page of your passport)
Extending Visa permit:
1. Original passport
2. 4 copies of completed Application form for Visa Permit Extension

7. Payment for one month or for 3 months by bank card at the Office of Visa and Consular Affairs.
Important Recommendation: Upon receiving your one-year residency / visa extension permit, students must check the validity of it and inform the Visa office for any incorrect information.
Please observe the following notice:
Students whose passports are near to their expiration date need to renew their passports via their countries' embassy in Tehran, and then proceed with obtaining the residency extension stamp with their already expired passport
In case you proceed with renewing your passport in your country of citizenship during your trip, you must have your old passport, containing previous residency stamps and student visa, with you in order to be able to return to Iran. In order to transfer all legal permissions from your old passport to your new one, Please refer to the Visa and Consular Affairs office at Semnan University for consultation and further information immediately after your arrival to Iran.
