In 2012, based on the vote issued in the 224th meeting of the Council for the Development of Medical Sciences Universities, there was an agreement in principle with the establishment of an international branch in Babol University of Medical Sciences. In the same year, according to the approvals of the meeting of the 3-member board of the relevant ministry, the establishment of the international branch of Babol University of Medical Sciences was definitively approved. The first round of student recruitment at the international branch of Babol was held in October 2012 in 4 fields at the master's level, with a total of 10 students. And the fields of clinical biochemistry - microbiology - immunology and NICU took place. The recruitment of the first course of medical, dental and physiotherapy students totaling 114 people took place in February 2012 (46 people in medicine - 42 people in dentistry - physiotherapy). The self-governing campus complex of the university, after renovation and major repairs, has started to operate with an administrative building and an educational building including 13 classrooms, 2 separate study halls for brothers and sisters, self-service, prayer hall since October 2013.
