The 13th annual congress of the Scientific Association of Bone Marrow transplantation of Iran was held for three days from the second to the fourth of March of this year in the conference hall of Imam Ali (AS) of the university.

It should be mentioned that this congress was held with the presence of the father of bone marrow transplantation in Iran, Prof. Ardeshir Qavamzadeh, Dr. Seyed Ali Mozafarpour, president of Babol University of Medical Sciences, faculty members, professors and students. It is worth mentioning: about 110 experts in 17 specialized panels as speakers in specialized and sub-specialized fields of blood and adult/child cancer, radio-oncology, radiology, nuclear medicine, infectious diseases, lung diseases, transplantation and immunodeficiency, medical genetics, hematology and laboratory Blood banks, immunology and nursing fields from all over the country and 15 transplant centers active in Iran participated in this congress.

Also, cell therapy updates, Bone Marrow transplantation in hereditary and non-hereditary diseases, Bone Marrow transplantation complications control, Bone Marrow transplantation selector, ethics in cell therapy and Bone Marrow transplantation are among the main axes of the congress.

It should be noted that in the opening ceremony, Prof. Ardeshir Qavamzadeh, the father of Iran's brain and bone transplant, was honored by Dr. Seyed Ali Mozafarpour, the president of Babol University of Medical Sciences, as well as the professors of the AmirkolaBone Marrow transplantation Center.
