According to the public relations report of Babol University of Medical Sciences, Dr. Hossein Ghorbani, the rector of Babol University of Medical Sciences, in a meeting with Mr. Yerbul Akhmadov, the Consul General of Kazakhstan, said: The dimensions of cooperation between this university and Kazakhstan can be very extensive, and medical tourism, student exchange, and tourism boom are good examples of cooperation for Babol and Kazakhstan.

Dr. Ghorbani added: By forming specialized working groups with the presence of experts, the existing capacities will be examined and relevant needs assessments will be carried out in the field of medical tourism and student education.

He continued: Kazakhstan has become interested in establishing relations with Babol University of Medical Sciences due to its capabilities in the field of health, along with Babol's tourist attractions.

Dr. Ghorbani, pointing out that Babol University of Medical Sciences has 400 academic staff and 4,508 students in 75 fields of study, added: Babol city is in a good position in terms of health system indicators and is ready to train and cooperate with Kazakhstan in all fields of health.

The head of Babol University of Medical Sciences acknowledged: The hospitals of this university, with their outstanding activities in the fields of kidney transplants, bone marrow transplants, cochlear implants, infertility treatment, genetics, dialysis, joint replacement, radio oncology, and dentistry, are in a position to accept patients from other countries.

He also emphasized in this meeting that academic cooperation should not be limited to the issue of student admission, but should include a wide range of scientific and educational cooperation, such as professor exchange, use of study opportunities for professors and students, participation in scientific and educational conferences, and other such matters between Babol University of Medical Sciences and corresponding universities in Kazakhstan in the near future.

He also said: In the path of these scientific and medical cooperation, the role of doctors and faculty members is very important and prominent, and they are the main pillars of this scientific exchange.

In this meeting, Yerbul Akhmedov, the Consul General of Kazakhstan, expressed his pleasure to attend Babol University of Medical Sciences, calling this relationship a good opportunity to create a platform for joint cooperation in the form of signing memorandums of understanding in various scientific and academic fields and expressed his hope that the ground for developing communications in various fields would be provided.
