What is the history of Roshd centers in the world?
The world's firstRoshd center dates back to 1959 in New York. This year, Joseph Mansco, an American businessman, bought a large old building and decided to rent it out to a tenant after it was repaired, but found that the building was too large for a tenant to afford. So he decided to rent it to several tenants so that he could make money this way. Mansco had 20 to 30 tenants a year later, who had leased about 10,000 square meters of space. The center is still active and is known as the Batavia Industrial Center and employs thousands of people.
But the main idea for incubator growth and development dates back to the American recession of the 1970s, when many large companies laid off their employees. In order to deal with the unemployment crisis, the US government planned to build infrastructure for small enterprises and companies, and established a Roshd center in various fields. The main idea of establishing Roshd centers and the formation of incubators in the world is to provide a suitable platform to increase the success rate and reduce the risk of start-ups and support entrepreneurs without the necessary capital and experience in technology and methods of commercialization of ideas.
